There are average doctors, then there are good doctors. Then there is Dr. Noonan - incomparable, with a great sense of humor.

I came in with aggravating and painful blemishes around my mouth that had persisted for weeks. The assistant and Doctor were empathetic and did not dismiss the symptoms as insignificant and directly prescribed both topical and oral medication. I felt hopeful and will circle back in a month to let them know if there are improvements.

Dr. Noonan is the best! He has found several spots that required surgical removal and referred me to a wonderful surgeon who is set up to do these surgeries right in his office. I can highly recommend Dr. Noonan to anyone looking for the best dermatologist.

usually, I'm a patient of PA-C Diedra Cannon who is always wonderful; however, she was out for my recent visit & I was assigned last minute appointment with PA Faith who was also very patient attentive, knowledgable & very personable. She did consult with Dr.Fogel & asked him to also come in & take a look at my skin issue for her diagnosis. Dr Fogel introduced himself to me....very pleasant demeanor, professional & reassuring for my concern, he made me feel very at ease with his expertise. I could recommend Dr. Wilder but only if you don’t mind waiting. I was on time for my appointment and was promptly shown into one of the medical offices. I was kept waiting for 25 minutes. When Dr. Wilder finally appeared he offered no apologies, but only “we’re always 20 minutes behind.”.

Recently I had basel sarcoma skin surgery performed by Dr. Fogel. I want to report that he and his staff, including Karen and Chris, did an excellent job. I am very satisfied and want to give them the highest compliments. The team also made me feel at ease during the procedure. Additionally, I want to thank Dr. Fogel was getting back to me after hours when I had a follow-up issue. This is very good medical care.

Brooke was so informative about my skin issue,prescribed medication and answered all my questions. Also had a thorough yearly skin checkup. She is professional and personable and would recommend her to all.

Dr Fogel is very friendly and kind. I find him always willing to address my concerns. At each visit he always lets me know if I have any questions he will be available to address them.

Dr. Fogel is an energetic, astute, well-trained, personable and compassionate star performer in this constellation of extremely well-qualified, caring physicians, staff and admins unto navigating the turbulent waters of modern day health care insurance. My overall experience has been primarily with Drs. Oestreicher, Fogel, Noonan & Lerner (ret.) over several decades, spanning a variety of issues from adult acne prone skin, a numbing facial insect bite, facial and lower inner calf Mohs surgeries, wound care at Nuvance, adverse reaction to a short term common prophlyactic drug that created a false surface skin eczema, and acne scarring from untended childhood acne. Acne brought me to this practice on recommnation of an excellent (now retired) local physician who was never wrong about anything. Today, I am so glad I ever had acne! This practice, drvoted to the skin, our largest largest organ, from Dr. Oestreicher to Dr. Fogel, has been lifesaving. Dr. Fogel is a bright star in this constelation of compassionate patient education, care, and excellence. You would never know I had adult acne prone skin! They are still guiding me through the stages of surface skin resolution of a provoked false excema. Dr. Fogel is a fitting addition to the fabulous synergy of this practice. You can count on his astute, inteligent, consistently positive, straight up and, yes, energetic, honest assessments and care.

Dr. Noonan and his team have provided outstanding care for my 96 year old mother. Most recently, on a Saturday he responded quickly and called in prescriptions to CVS based on my description of symptoms. I was so grateful we didn't have to take my mother to a walk-in clinic. I had to call back a few hours later because CVS said they didn't have the order (he had called in). Dr. Noonan was very responsive again and kind enough to call in order to CT Pharmacy (Norwalk, highly recommend) who delivered it by 5:30 pm.

Dr Noonan is an exceptionally personable and caring person. He takes the time to fully listen and explain what his findings reveal and is expert at prescribing medication to cure any problems. His reassuring sense of humor goes a long way to calm the examination process.

Today Dr. Fogel performed a small biopsy on my cheek where I have had a tiny spot that has remained visible for over 6 months. I found him to be thorough and also compassionate about my concern that it might be skin cancer. His credentials are reassuring and I feel that I will have the proper care going forward. I used to see Dr. Lerner and when he was retiring I ventured out to a new office. Although the doctor I was seeing was great, I found the office to be unorganized and not easy to deal with. I came back to APDS and I’ve been seeing Dr. Fogel. He’s absolutely amazing! I’m so happy with my experience returning to this office and with Dr. Fogel. He has helped me get my confidence back by prescribing me just what I need to clear my skin! Aside from Dr. Fogel, everyone in this office is great. I wouldn’t recommend another practice. :)

Mrs Cannon is great. Understanding, knowledgeable and helpful. All you could ask for and more. Strongly suggest to all who are looking for a dermatologist. I would put a 5th start on my rating but ,no reflection on the doctor, the receptionist at the Derby office is without personaity and when she decides to offer a customer her attention it is clear she is a person who is unhappy with her profession and unable to guise it well enough as not to allow her sorrowful attitude to migrate to Mrs. Cannon’s patients. I have viewed this display on all my visits and have been subjected to her sad projection onto other customers as well. Unfortunate, as she is the face of the business. Fortunately, once you meet the doctor, her warmth melts the glaicial front introduced by the lady at the desk. Please use Mrs. Cannon as the good outweighs the bad. Maybe try the Trumbull office as from this point forward I plan to make the longer drive to keep a good doctor in my reserve.

Ms. Cannon continues to provide exceptional medical care. She asks about concerns and current health issues. She patiently answers questions and explains procedures. She explains post-op care. She has maintained this high standard for years. A previous dermatologist in a local practice left me in a cold room, draped in a paper sheet, for 45 minutes with no contact nor explanation nor apology then shrugged when I left. Ms. Cannon is on time and courteous while being a medical professional.

Please note the 1 star was deducted (& I wanted to deduct more) for the staff only, not Dr Noonan. I had 2 appointments this week for some reason (today & Friday). I left a message last week confirming cancelling the appointment on Friday & keep today. I mentioned this @ least 3x to clarify so there wasn't any misunderstanding. Unfortunately, the opposite happened & today was cancelled. (I live almost 1 1/2 hrs away, round trip.) They were able to squeeze me in when I complained which I did appreciate. What was frustrating on my end was the staff appeared irritated w/me as if what occurred was my doing. I was the one who had good reason to be frustrated. (Even if it was my doing though, there's still no reason to give attitude.) The looks I was received from 2 different PA's/nurses weren't necessary. Yes, they were having lunch so guessing that's why they were irritated but again, that should've been directed towards the individual that didn't do as I requested & cancelled the wrong day. All in all, we all have our struggles in this crazy life & there's going to be times when work doesn't go as planned, but it's all about how you react. I didn't need nor deserve the way the PA/nurse treated me.

First time meeting Dr Fogel yesterday. I was very impressed with him, both his knowledge and his very cheerful attitude. Couldn't help but smile on my way out. His assistants all equally polite.

Got me in with an emergency issue. Dr. Fogel was very welcoming and thoughtful about his examination and diagnosis. He took all the appropriate actions to identify the problem including swabbing, ordering important meds and making a follow up appointment in 2 weeks with a definite plan to do a biopsy of all the efforts did not clear the problem. I liked him very much and would definitely recommend him.

I met Doctor Fogel today and liked him very much. There was a 30 minute wait so you lost a star.

I came at the wrong time, but was seen anyway! However, I did have to wait over two months to get the appointment in the first place…. My biggest complaint is that you don’t take my insurance.

I was seen as scheduled and Dr.O and given extremely personal and complete care. The Dr. answered and acted upon all my concerns.

I arrived for my appointment early, paid my copay and shortly after was called and escorted to an exam room. An assistant took some history and a short time later Dr. Noonan came in. He examined me, treated a number of spots on my body. We wished each other Merry Christmas, he left. The assistant made my next appointment for me in June. It was as pleasant of an office visit as could be. I think the entire office behaves very professionally but with a most friendly attitude.

Dr Noonan always has a positive disposition and attentiveness to my concerns. If he feels that a specialist is needed, he will recommend and refer immediately, then I notice he reviews those doctor’s notes and incorporates that into our discussion in our next visit. I was a long-time patient of Dr. Seth Lerner who retired a couple of years ago and was skeptical that anyone else could deliver the high level of quality care that he did. I was reluctant to try someone new for my dermatology needs and did extensive research on the referrals I was given from friends and acquaintances. I could not decide on any one of them but then took a chance on Dr. Fogel instead who is the new dermatologist at this practice in Hawley Lane in Trumbull. I am so glad I did! I was pleasantly surprised at his personable, professional, and caring bedside manner. He was very engaging and focused on my needs during the entire visit. He was also very efficient as he successfully performed a comprehensive assessment along with a procedure in a relatively brief time span. He has a strong knowledge base and readily addressed questions and shared information, which helped me to make a smarter decision relative to my health needs. He also has a great sense of humor. And a shout-out to Dana, the medical assistant who was also awesome during the visit! I am so glad I took a chance on Dr. Fogel...I highly recommend him...he was awesome!!! Thank you!

When I arrived, I had forms to fill. I was directed to a room where additional medical information was given. A few minutes later, Dr Fogel arrived and we discussed the reason for my visit and my symptoms. He requested to see my rash. I obliged. During the examination, he explained everything he was doing, his suspicions, his findings, and what was needed next . He asked if he could invite Dr Oestreicher which was acceptable to me. Dr Fogel was very sensitive to keeping me comfortable during the examination and during the biopsy procedures. He continued to explain the need for blood tests which are scheduled for 10/10 at Quest. Dr Fogel is MY dermatologist and I would have no issues returning for additional care or recommending him to friends.

Dr. Wilder and his assistant Shanice are fantastic! Warm, funny, and attentive. I really appreciate how welcome they make me feel, given some of my visits call for uncomfortable procedures. Top notch practice, highly recommend!

Dr. Oestreicher has been our family dermatologist over 40 years. I am now retired, and he is my only Dr. who is not covered by my insurance. I've chosen to remain with him because of my confidence level in his expertise and his compassionate/friendly bedside manner. I do have concerns for the day I will be required for more than an office visit, he will need to refer me to another Dr. whom I do not know and don't have the same confidence. I do wish his office would submit to United Healthcare, especially now with the FDA wavier for in/out of network payments.

Dr. Wilder puts you at ease as soon as he walks in no matter what your appointment is for. He has treated myself and my twin daughters and we could not find anything negative to say. One of my daughters has a birthmark that was being treated by a Dr who passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. He was doing a laser treatment that seemed to be working. Great experience. Not to long of wait to see Dr. Noonan. Was able to schedule next visit with the nurse in the exam room which was very convenient. Doctor was thorough in checking the skin for possible pre-cancer cells and ordered the prescription that the nurse was able to send off to the pharmacy while in the exam rom as well.
